While I was looking through the photo submissions (through :iconsky-club:) for the week of 25 October, this shot truly caught my eye right away!

I find this mountainous scene to be extremely interesting. Each mountain is quite distinguishable from the other with its sharp outline and different shade. The elevation and topographical feature are also different for each mountain. When the mountains are seen together in this shot, they make for excellent silhouettes.

One of the things I love about this shot is that the scene is neither colorful nor black & white. I really appreciate the naturalness of the colors that is present in the mountains, as well as in the sky. I find the mountainous scene to be very pleasing to the eye and the type that I would really enjoy gazing at during the evening hours after sunset.

The really neat thing about the shot is that I can pick out the details against the dark silhouettes in the foreground. The black poles holding the reflective, faint-looking wires can be seen against the mountain silhouettes.

I noticed that the upper corners of the photo have darkened a little bit, even more so on the left than the right. I am not sure how this would occur since the sky should be consistent across the shot.

I find the placement of the name and the copyright logo to be a bit distracting. If it were me, I would place it in the lower right corner of the photo and change the color to ivory. That way, the entire mountainous shot can be viewed in its entirety.

Looking at this beautiful mountainous scene totally reminds me of the drawings of mountains that I'd always do whenever I am in the 'landscape' mood and have the time to put my jet black ball point pen or marker to great use. It also reminds me of the view of the massive mountains to the west of I-17 between Flagstaff and Phoenix in Arizona.

You definitely did a great job with this one, Lord Narmo! :pat:
