At first sight iIwas just impressed! This photo was taken in the right moment, with an eye for detail. Good point of view even more enhanced spaciousness. The line on the right leads us nicely to the main theme, which disappears in the fog. It might be considering the Eiffel Tower straighten that her line is perpendicular to the plane, but that's just a detail. The silhouettes of people in the foreground is just like a "cherry on top of the cake", the composition is really very good, because you have feeling you are part of the photo. And that's the goal - this photo has something, that could be named "soul".
This is picture of the Eiffel Tower is spectacular! To me, the picture is like the dark side of the Tower, if you were to give it a personality. I like how everything around it corresponds with the mood of the tower. The people appear as shadows and the clouds have eerie feel to them. And the reflections are crystal clear. You can see the smallest details that most people might over look like the small particles on the ground or bird flying away from the Tower on the right. The background appears so far yet you can the buildings crystal clear as if you standing right there.
It's pretty interesting.. what we can see of the reflections. Perhaps we'd notice it more if you rotated it, but then it wouldn't exactly be proper in terms of the balance and such.
I like the contrast in colours, but I don't like how intense the contrast is so that we barely see any details, and we are only aware of the intensity of things... it brings about quite a dark mood that isn't fitting of the sky there, but maybe that's just me.
I feel it's a bit tilted as well, but other than that, it's a pretty cool shot.
